The key visual of the conference
On September 27, 2024,in order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between China and Mexico in scientific and technological innovation and digital economy, and to explore new cooperation opportunities, ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Think Tank Alliance"), jointly with Beijing "Two Zones" Office, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, Mexico China Center, Network for International Cooperation on Technology Commercialization (NICTC) and other institutions, successfully held the video conference for promoting the "Two Zones" of Beijing in Mexico. More than 50 people attended the meeting, including experts and scholars in scientific and technological innovation and digital economy from Beijing "Two Zones" Office, as well as from Shunyi District Bureau of Commerce and the "Two Zones" Office of Changping District, and others from industry associations and leading enterprises in China and Mexico. Li Junkai, Director of the Center for International and Regional Cooperation of Beijing Academy of Science and Technology presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Du Lei, Division Director of Comprehensive Coordination Division of the Beijing "Two Zones" Office, first gave a detailed introduction to the background, goals and development opportunities brought by the construction of Beijing's "Two Zones". He pointed out that Beijing, as China's capital and science and technology innovation center, is vigorously promoting high-level opening-up, and providing a broad space for cooperation between Chinese and Mexican enterprises.
Alfonso Araujo, President of Mexico China Center, shared the present situation and opportunities of Mexico's cooperation in scientific and technological innovation from the perspective of Mexico, and demonstrated the potential and direction of cooperation in scientific and technological innovation in Mexico.
Huang Leilei, the special guest expert of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China and the founder and CEO of Zhengze Quantum (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., shared her wonderful insights on the advanced technologies and the development of the technologies of new quality productivity, She provided professional opinions for the in-depth cooperation between China and Mexico in science and technology.
In the part of demonstrating the construction achievements of the "Two Zones", Huang Nan, Deputy Director of the Beijing Shunyi District Bureau of Commerce, and Guan Lili, Section Chief of the "Two Zones” Office of Changping District, introduced the remarkable achievements made by their respective regions. Their introduction demonstrated Beijing's firm steps in promoting scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
In the part of matching for industry cooperation, a number of business representatives and experts from China and Mexico conducted in-depth exchanges. Paty Mora, Director of the Office of Technology Transfer and Derivatives at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, introduced new materials and sustainable technologies that could be used for cooperation with China; Javier Pina, as the representative of H2Optima company in Mexico, shared the efficient water treatment technology for industrial and domestic use in remote areas. As Chinese representatives, Wang Xiaoguang, Operations Director of P4 Precision Medicine (Beijing) Innovation Center, introduced the accelerator model of P4 medicine and its cooperation opportunities, and Yu Shuopeng, Project Manager of Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprise Co., Ltd., also shared his views.
At the end of the conference, Li Junkai summarized this meeting for project matching. She stressed that there is great potential for cooperation between China and Mexico in scientific and technological innovation and digital economy. She hopes that this meeting for project matching can further promote cooperation and exchanges between the two sides and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. At the same time, the Think Tank Alliance will continue to give full play to its own advantages and provide more support and assistance to partners who are concerned about Beijing and the development opportunities of the "two zones".
